The Ottawa Carleton UNIX Users Group.

  • After quite a period of inactivity, the OCUUG is attempting to become active again. Meetings are to be held at Exit Certified and start in May. If you're interested in UNIX and in the Ottawa area, be sure to check out the site and come out to the meetings.
  • I've been noticing that Samba has been consuming all available memory on my server if left alone. With some digging, I managed to track down a memory leak in smbd/password.c. Having worked around the problem, Samba is once again playing nice with respect to memory usage. Jeremy Allison has committed the fix to CVS for the upcoming 2.2.4 release.
