Banks - Aren't They All The Same?

  • Our new house closes on Monday, and after some delays at the bank, our lawyer finally got the information he needed to finalize his work. So after getting the figures from him, off I went from work to the bank to get a bank draft for him. After making it to the bank, and getting through the lineup for tellers, I began to explain my situation to the teller. I needed to transfer some money, then have a bank draft made up and out to our lawyer. I can't transfer the money outside of the branch because our accounts are currently in the process of being transferred back from a branch in Ottawa to Richmond Hill. Being very helpful, she said that it would be no problem, and that she just needed my access card. So out came my access cards. She looked at me, and asked if I had an account at that bank, and I explained that yes I did, and these were my access cards.
  • Turns out, in my haste to get to the bank, I'd managed to lineup at TD Canada Trust, when what I really meant to do was go to a Royal Bank branch.
  • ;)
