Spring Flowers

  • Since Mom and Dad are away in England, they asked me to go over and take some pictures of their garden while the tulips are in bloom. So I took the opportunity to practice with the new camera. Her garden is looking a lot better than ours, which I refrained from taking pictures of. ;)
  • Other than that, I've been thinking about buying a Mac. More specifically, a PowerBook. But I'm still not sure about it. The main attraction for me is the eye candy on Mac's. Expose, dashboard, the dock... And of course, having a BSD derivative under the covers is compelling as well. But $3,000 later, I think I'd still rather just stick to an Intel/AMD platform and buy a ThinkPad. Besides, entbloess does a pretty decent job of emulating Expose under XP -- it's not the same, but the utility is there. Click the thumbnail on the left to see a larger screenshot. Expose is a cool feature in Mac OSX that arranges all your open windows on your desktop so that you can see them all side by side, non-overlapping when you press F9.
